Who I Am
I'm Fiona Shade. I'm an award-winning poet, a lifelong gamer, and an avid reader. In my work, I emphasize the power of community and whimsy, examine social formation and technological innovation through fantasy allegory, and make a lot of puns. In my Boston community, I volunteer to create accessible spaces for LGBTQIA+ gamers.
In my spare time, I perpetually reread Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, Martha Wells' Murderbot Diaries, and more. I perpetually replay Geneforge 1, the Mass Effect series, and the first four Dragon Age games. I also enjoy all variety of RPGs, deckbuilding games, and stuffed animals.
